内山が予選決勝へ★ウィンブルドン

28日から本戦が始まるウィンブルドン。
その予選が行われていますが、日本からは第５シードの内山靖崇（28歳、116位）が本日予選決勝を戦います。

対戦相手はドイツのＯ・オッテ（27歳、154位）。
第２コートの第３試合になります。

予選は、１チャンネルのみですがYouTubeでライブ配信されています。

皆さんもお気づきかも知れませんが、予選は本戦とは違う会場で行われています。

天然芝コートは消耗品ですから、仕方がないですね。

私が以前、「テニス夢ツアー」で訪れたオーストラリアのアデレードの天然芝コートは
春から秋までコートが使えて、オンシーズンも半分のコートをメンテナンスしながら運営されていました。
希少価値の高いサーフェースですね。

Uchiyama to qualifying final *Wimbledon

Wimbledon is about to start on the 28th.
The qualifying round is underway, and the fifth seed from Japan, Uchiyama (28ages, 116th), will play the qualifying final today.

His opponent will be Germany’s O. Otte (27ages, 154th).
This will be the third match on the second court.

The qualifying round is being streamed live on YouTube, though only one channel is available.

By the way,
As you may have noticed, the qualifying roundare being held at a different venue than the main draw.

The natural grass courts are expendable, so it can’t be helped.

The natural grass courts in Adelaide, Australia, which I visited before on the “Tennis Dream Tour”, were used from spring to fall.
And half of the courts were maintained and operated during the on-season.
It’s a rare and valuable surface.
